Some of the brightest minds have had the opportunity to speak at TED, a nonprofit global reaching organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” Augmented Reality made a tremendous splash recently after Global Head of Aurasma, Matt Mills, took the stage and fascinated the audience. He may have looked like a modern day witchdoctor but Matt Mills helped thrust Augmented Reality deeper into the minds of the mainstream masses. There in no doubt that a world stage like this is needed to make people understand the awesome power and magnetism that Augmented Reality holds.
Aurasma’s website boosts over 300 apps, 7000 partners, and over 4 million downloads. You can learn a lot more about Aurasma at their official Youtube channel. Their popular app – Aurasma Lite can be downloaded on the iPhone, iPad, and Android platform.
See Matt Mills TED début which was released on July 19, 2012. All AR enthusiasts, supporters and junkies should tip their cap to Aurasma for shedding light on AR to the world.
*** Note – I also do not want to miss or take away from worlds greatest AR illusionist and Techno-magician Marco Tempest’s many TED events that also shed light on the power of Augmented Reality illusion and wonderment***

My passion is to teach about the positive uses of emerging technologies while raising awareness to the potential downside of innovation. I have dedicated my life to teaming up with ewarriors around the globe to protect the innocent in this lifelong mission. "The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it." --- by William James is my favorite quote.

About a year ago, I suggested to the Powers That Be at TED that they devote a whole conference to Augmented Reality. Maybe now they’ll be more interested in the idea …
I am sure they will be. AR cannot be ignored. It is growing faster like a snowball rolling down a hill!
