AugmentedRealityTrends.com is a website that was launched with a group of bloggers who’s profile images were taken from stock photos and at least one real person, a Saudi Prince. This charade, in our opinion, was crafted by sloppy creators through a consorted make believe group to give the illusion of a real organization, that dupe you, the reader, into believing that they are a legitimate voice in the world of augmented reality. We find this appalling and completely disingenuous. . It creates a false hot-bed of support, through an imaginary group of profiles to give the illusion that independent bloggers are writing supportive blog posts to promote this organization and a company for profit. We also can’t underemphasize that by utilizing Google Authorship for the “different” bloggers, the Augmented Reality Trends website climbs higher in the SEO results under Google. Our research also shows that the Augmented Reality Company SeeMore Interactive shows a similar pattern of false profiles, including a smoking gun screenshot of a scraped photo from a modeling site by a person claiming to be the Webmaster for SeeMore Interactive. Research has shown that AugmentedRealityTrends.com has ties to SeeMore Interactive. We have attempted to call SeeMore Interactive and email them for comment but they are unavailable at this time. We find the totality of the below screenshots appalling and completely disingenuous.
We also notice Linkedin posts by “Nancy Jones” and Augmented Reality Trends during the same day. This gives the illusion that they are separate entities but in our opinion they are not. This house of cards deserves to be revealed for what it is, a shame in brazen and hollow terms.
One of the most shocking things through this exposé is that it’s almost impossible to find a real person behind all of this.
